Join us, Olympians Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt, for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to elevate your fencing while enjoying a luxury experience with the family at the world renown Forte Village in beautiful Sardinia, Italy. From our own experience, the biggest leaps in our fencing have come from high-quality summer training camps with fencers from around the world. We would be honored to contribute to your growth as a fencer along with making lasting family memories.

Advanced training meets luxury family vacation.

In our effort to create a highly competitive training environment, participation in this camp will be by application. If interested, please complete this short application (no deposit needed at this point) and you will be contacted in the fall after applications are reviewed.

We are also considering organizing a Veteran foil camp and would love for any interested Veteran fencers to complete this survey to share your feedback and help guide our planning.

Private lessons will also be available with more details to come.

  • August 3 - 7, 2026

  • The cost of the camp is $1,000 USD and private lessons will be available for an additional fee. Participants are required to stay a minimum of 6 consecutive nights at Forte Village.

  • Sessions will include warm up, games, strength and conditioning, footwork, drills, situational bouting and open bouting. Participants will be separated by age.

  • The application cycle is currently open and a first batch of acceptance letters has been sent out. New applications will continue to be reviewed through the spring of 2026, but apply soon as spots are limited.

  • Forte Village has provided a special rate for our camp with a 6-night stay including breakfast and dinner starting at approximately $8,000 USD per family. The dedicated camp booking site can be found here.

    For questions about accommodations such as requesting adjoining rooms, contact the Forte Village Reservation Department and make sure to mention code CAMP26 so they bring up the special packaging for our group.

Meet the Instructors

Lee and Gerek, who both have their sights set on the LA 2028 Olympic Games, have run clinics across the world. They are excited to continue to impart their high-level international experience in a fun and creative training environment. They are joined by the sport’s most decorated fencer of all time, Italy’s Valentina Vezzali who will be giving private lessons.

  • Lee started fencing at age 7 in Kentucky and is the most decorated foil fencer in US history. She has won three Olympic gold medals, nine Senior World Championship medals, and has finished four seasons ranked #1 in the World.

  • Gerek began fencing at age 9 in San Francisco, California, and has been a trailblazer for USA Fencing. He was the first American man to win a Senior World Championships medal in 2010, became the first US men’s foil fencer to attain the #1 World ranking in 2013, and won a record eighth Senior World Championships medal in 2025.

  • Italy’s Valentina Vezzali has an astounding 6 Olympic gold medals and 16 World Championship titles. She won individual gold medals at three Olympics in a row - Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, and Beijing 2008. She was the official flag bearer for Italy at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
